FAQ # 100, "renovation"

Thanks to a further German support request on the board I'm on the last of [info] ridicully translated in 2005 / changed FAQ # 100 encountered. The text is due to changes in the community section completely overhauled. Also, it seems to me to have agreed with our American colleagues, all that has to do with communities, split into smaller FAQs. I have to deal with me ever closer, but FAQ # 100 is translated at least for now, and also has a nice screenshot (from an idea by [info] danceinacircle ).

I will probably make me by and by the community management and translate both the FAQs and the relevant pages to it.
Unless someone else already has ambitions to the effect ...

Oh yes, in this context, for 's Glossary : Owner = owner, correct?

Edit: Oh man, this person was quick - is already in there in the glossary. ^ ^ We
the owner can also use without "community" before, when it is clear what is meant, right?

Another first attempt

code: / abuse / report.bml.friend.intro

There is no breach of the terms of use, when other users add you to their friends list even if this happens without your consent, as it allows them no special access to your journal. It simply allows them to read your public entries on their friends page instead for directly access your journal. While it is not possible to move away from the friends lists of other users, you can hide their user names on your own "friend" list. How this can be found here: \u0026lt;a href="[[siteroot]]/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=185"> [[siteroot]] / support / faqbrowse.bml faqid = 185 \u0026lt;/ a>? .
\u0026lt;br>
If you wish to report someone who has published in his journal, spam and randomly added you as a friend, then do so here: \u0026lt;a href = "[[siteroot]] / abuse / bots.bml> [[siteroot]] / abuse / bots.bml \u0026lt;/ a>. It is also advisable to ban such users to receive any notifications of friends of them, this FAQ: \u0026lt;a href="[[siteroot]]/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=20"> [[ siteroot]] / support / faqbrowse.bml? faqid explained = 20 \u0026lt;/ a> how that works.

Stylistically I'm not quite so happy, but maybe. Any ideas what might be instead of the "friend notifications" for the "friend notifications" write in the original? Maybe something "to get notifications relating to it in direction? With my back a bit stilted occurs.
One more question: I'm missing because only the necessary clarity, or is there at the links in this text to translate is really nothing?
And one more question, because it's just struck me: What am I up there as the "Terms" I have translated, in the original the "Terms of Service. The corresponding sub-item / link is on the Site, however, "business conditions". Should I be here to take the case, even if it (for me at least) in this context sounds a bit weird?

FAQ # 17 revised

Thanks to the many requests to support the Board on this subject is me FAQ # 17 a particular concern. The last translation / modification took place two years ago and was [info] lied_ohne_worte made.

I have today done the following:
- added the missing links to the lost information page.
- the layout to the U.S. format adapted.
- information that has accumulated over time on the U.S. side, translated and inserted.
- "security issue" in "secret question", as amended, because FAQ # 287 the concept leads Sun
- "alternative method", also in "secret question" changed because of FAQ # 287 no other methods are listed, as was possibly being considered again.
- Fixed several typos.

Funnily enough, I'm back on the revision of the previously translated FAQ # 287 encountered - the reason that I have ever slipped into this whole translation history.

This is of course now turn next ... ^ _ ^
